Lucy Malone is a litigation associate at Wagstaff & Cartmell LLP, where she focuses on high-stakes, complex mass-tort litigation. Since earning her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2021, Lucy has developed substantial experience in large-scale multidistrict proceedings, contributing to pretrial strategy, depositions, discovery, witness development, and trial preparation.

Lucy worked extensively on the JUUL multidistrict litigation (MDL No. 2913), where she assisted in trial preparation and helped secure critical witness testimony. She is currently deeply involved in the consolidated social media addiction litigation (JCCP No. 5255 & MDL No. 3047), serving on the Master Complaint Committee, the Meta Discovery Committee, and the Bellwether Committee. Much of her work centers on advocating for young people and families harmed by powerful corporate actors, a responsibility she approaches with compassion and rigor.

Admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas, Lucy has been an active member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys since 2021. Her work has earned recognition from her peers: she has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 – Missouri (West) every year since 2022, and in 2025 she was honored as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.

In addition to her litigation practice, Lucy has presented on the ethical implications of social media at the Harris Martin Conference and remains engaged in the evolving issues at the intersection of law, technology, and youth safety. A Kansas City native, she brings a strong sense of community, a client-centered mindset, and a genuine passion for helping others to everything she does.
